MEET THE HORSES
Thor is our 16-year-old Rocky Mountain gentleman who will carry you safely anywhere- and he’ll do it in style with his head and tail held high. He is gaited, which means you’ll ride smooth and fast. He can be ridden bareback and bitless has boundless energy and likes to go go go. He is safe for a beginner who isn’t afraid of a bit of pizazz, and great for an intermediate rider who likes some speed. He loves his treats and makes us laugh with his boyish personality.
Danny is one of our youngest at 8 years old and goes English or western. Both on the ground and under the saddle, he’s very sweet and gentle despite his (adorable) grumpy face. He’s happy to walk a beginner around the trails with his head low, or can take a more advanced rider cantering around. For a bit of extra excitement, sometimes he likes to race his best friend, Thor. Danny wins riders over with his wobbly lip and endless love of food!
Serena is our English dressage horse, an elegant aging diva of 21 years. She is loved by our riders who like English dressage, with her big trot and perfectly collected canter. She is great in the ring and goes on the trails with her buddies. She is becoming a bit stubborn with age and is best for an intermediate rider who shows her who’s boss, but walking the beach next to Thor or Danny anyone can ride her and enjoy the sight of her big bobbing ears.
Meet Jojo. A stunning 11-year-old off-the-track-thoroughbred mare. She has great ground manners and is a favorite for lessons! JoJo is great on trails and crosses country fields. She loves attention from her humans and is a very loyal girl. She is also great for advanced riders!
Meet Chip! He is also a recent rescue horse. Chip is about 16-years-old and will do anything for food. He is comfortable to ride and loves going for a stroll through the trails. Chip has excellent ground manners and loves to be pampered.
Big Ben might be the tallest horse you’ll ever see, but he’s true to the “big teddy bear” cliche! He’s a young rescue who needs more experience but has been out on the trails and beach with the rest of the herd and is perfectly calm and reliable walking with his buddies. While we work to help him get in shape and understand his rider’s cues, he’s great for a relaxing trail walk if you don’t mind being so high off the ground!
